One restaurant was super cozy and inviting. The staff tries hard and we came on a day where it was very busy. The food was very good, but a bit overwhelmed with salad. The speed was slow and I think you could have pointed it out (for example: “Sorry, it's a lot going on today and it takes time”).

On October 30th, 2020, four of us reserved a table at 7:00 p.m. in Filderstrasse 25 at Il Pomodoro. With advance notice by phone, we got to 7:15 p.m. The table was still free for us and it was close to the bar. The table was in the front area of ​​the restaurant, you always had a view of the staff from our table. The boss and the boss, a man who cleaned glasses and served drinks and a waitress who brought the food to the tables worked. Two men worked on the pizza oven, and I was able to watch a man in the kitchen. The restaurant was full. They gave us a menu right away, it took 10 minutes to order the drinks, they came straight away and three of us ordered three salads and one a minestrone, as well as the main courses. For the main course we ordered prawns with tomato sauce, beef steak with tomato sauce, spaghetti Bolognese and spaghetti with truffle and parmesan. All dishes are quickly prepared and some of the ingredients are pre-produced. One thinks!!!!! It took about 45 minutes until the starters came. You could see that one waitress was responsible for the whole shop. The boss only cashed in, the boss always assigned herself to guests who arrived at tables or took care of the constant take-away orders or put vegetable starter plates from the showcase at the bar on the plate. About 105 minutes after ordering the food, the main courses came, the spaghetti plates came first, 5 minutes later the steak and another 5 minutes later the prawns. In the time from ordering to serving, I could definitely see 3 tables where guests came after us and who had their starter and main course reserved in front of us. Was it because all four of us were migrants? Was it because of the 40-60 take-away orders in the period and its sales priority? Was it because the distribution of the team was not coordinated? Was it because there was only one service person who was constantly running around instead of the owner being able to help out during rush hour? About 15 minutes before the main courses were served, I made myself aware of when we would finally get our food. Except for a scusi we didn't hear anything. We even ordered dessert and I was polite and even paid a 10% tip on the bill. But I know one thing. After we left the restaurant shortly after 10:00 p.m., there is no way I will eat there again. For 2 beers, an Insalata Mista, a plate of spaghetti with truffle and Parmesan, I don't wait almost 2 hours. An ignorance that take-away orders are given priority, even when we are in Corona times and everyone has to look at their sales. Bosses who do less and let their service staff jump around, bring a tired scusi over their lips and watch for almost 2 hours but keep us waiting even though guests come after us and are completely served. Was it all a mistake? I do not think so!!!!!!!

Very friendly service because it was very full both outside and inside it took a long time to eat, but people that is nothing negative price comparisons very cheap and we were 4 each had 2 cocktails so 3 of us and 2 normal drinks I had cabonara and it was definitely worth the wait because it was exactly what I expected in terms of taste. PS: I will go there more often ? ♥ ️?

Amazing pizzas

Our favorite Italian for several years! I love the funny pasta pictures on the walls, the smell when you enter the restaurant, the friendly pizza bakers who smile at you when you watch them at work. But above all the handwritten weekly menu, on which you can always find a special treat ... GRAZIE!

My favorite place for pizza! Authentic, wood fired Italian pizza coupled with cheap house wine makes this place a win! Love their topping options!

Very nice restaurant, the service was quick and friendly. The pizza had a crispy dough and was very tasty. Rest of the orders were from the weekly menu and all tasted good.

This place is good. So many pizzas to choose from, there are other dishes but we were there for pizza. Friendly staff, the place was full but I didn't feel we waited too long. The pasta dishes did look good and the portions are large. If you're in the area stop in you wont be disappointed.

One of the best Italian restaurants I know. The food is absolutely delicious, always fresh and great prepared. The staff, the boss and the boss are always friendly and always have a smile on their face. The prices are really fair. In the evening you should rather book a table, as the restaurant is usually full.

I ordered the Il Pomodoro salad as a starter and the linguini pesto was the weekly special on the "card" or menu. The drinks were great, the food was great but the staff here really made the place special. Unlike most other restaurants we've eaten at the last two weeks in Stuttgart, the staff here is awesome. They are nice and super friendly whereas we've had some real bad service in this city I guess bc we're Americans.

Good service, good italian food, but the highlight is their pizza, not to much sauce, perfect amount of cheese and thin and crisp... Good selection of Wine and they have a weekly menu with some interesting tweaks. Overall I recommend this place!

Booking is certainly a must in this medium-sized venue, with optimized spaces, being always crowded. The owners, especially the owner, are friendly and helpful people. The pizza is giant and delicious and the prices are normal.

The place is really nice and cozy, always packed, and service is excellent. Food is amazing italian food, and overall quite an enjoyable experience. If you can, reserve a place at the bar by calling them in advance so that you dont have to wait, and eating at the bar is quite nice :)

In Stuttgart it is difficult to find a good Italian restaurant where you can eat a real crispy pizza. But we were lucky and we found this. This restaurant where you can enjoy this unforgettable pizza, her delicious taste you will feel for a long time after your dinner. The interior is also very nice, like at home. The pizza was delicious and also not so expensive. It had nice ambience and polite staff. You get an extra spicy sauce if you are from India ;) I had a good time there, surely recommend.

Meals are tasty, service is awful. It's like, "waiting forever for any request"- awful. Plus it's an extremely packed and loud place, which makes it almost impossible to enjoy any good dish that is served. Overall, it is pretty much unnecessary to suffer for the sake of tasty food. Note: I was there on a monday evening, shouldn't be the busiest day.
